Interview Nerves

Do you lose out on jobs because your nerves fail you at interviews? Do you find yourself stuttering, not answering, or talking nonsense because your hands are shaking at the interview? Would you be great for the job, but those interview nerves mean you won't get it?

Your brain is designed to look for danger. In our modern world, we have very little danger, so your brain is over-tuned to danger. As a result, it can happen that you respond to a perfectly safe and normal thing as if it were life-threatening!

A job interview isn't dangerous, yet you sweat, your hands shake, your voice has a tremour, your thoughts get confused, and you are nervous.

By changing your unconscious response to the interview, by getting your brain to realise that nothing serious is going on, by knowing that it's perfectly safe… this will stop the nerves. And knowing that a calm, relaxed and confident approach is more likely to get you what you want, your unconscious mind can change, and help you instead.

Those choices of responses — anxious and agitated, or calm and confident — take place at a deep unconscious level.

That means that hypnotherapy for interview nerves is an excellent solution, because hypnosis gets right down to your unconscious mind, making the changes deep down.

If you've tried everything else, you may wish to explore hypnotherapy further. Contact Paddy or consider an MP3 download for interview nerves.

What's on Your Mind?

Thought for the Moment

I taught public school for 26 years, but I just can't do it any more. For years, I asked the school board to let me teach a curriculum that doesn't hurt kids, but they always had other fish to fry. If you hear of a job where I don't have to hurt kids to make a living, let me know. The truth is that schools don't really teach anything, but blind obedience.
